Version 1.5

Here you can find the changes included in this release.

Main changes

  • Hover Button

It is now possible to add an hyperlink inside the hover button webpart. You can now insert in the text box a clickable link that takes the user to another page or external web site.

  • Events

Some changes has been implemented to the web part:

As to the calendar’s layout, it is now possible to choose to see the events in a vertical list instead of at the bottom:

It is also possible to add a category and an icon to customize the event.

Sundays won’t be automatically highlighted as a non-working day. This function allows to choose whether to show Sundays as holiday or not, so that one company can adjust the calendar to its working habits.

  • People Directory

This web part is now cross site, which means that the people directory web part can now take as data source a list of another website of the intranet.

Thanks to a new development that allows the configuration of a pre-filter for the People Directory, it becomes possible to set specific values for the pre-filter, such as country or department. For example, if there is a need to create a page that displays the colleagues from the Back Office department, the People Directory can be configured with this pre-filter. As a result, when accessing that specific page, the People Directory will already be filtered to show the colleagues from the Back Office department. This makes it easier to view and locate the desired individuals within the director.

It is now possible to manage the badge function. This allows the administrator to attribute a specific badge (or more than one) to a user. This function works with two lists: one to insert all the badges available with the possibility to associate an icon to each item and another list to assign the badges to the users. For example, the badges "Innovation Champion" and "Best team player" will then appear in the People Directory like this:

The new function of the badge is available not only in the People Directory but also in My Profile area.

My Profile

It is now possible to personalize the user profile image with some tags like this one:

This function changes the user profile image throughout all Microsoft 365 environment, so for example the tag will be visible also in Microsoft Teams. The image will appear like this:

Job Posting

It is now possible to set an expiry date to the job postings. There will be a new field called “Expiration Date” which, if filled, will make the job posting disappear on a certain date (date indicated will be included). On the other hand, if the field will be left empty, the job posting will not expire.

Minor changes

  • FAQ

This improvement allows the FAQ web part to be cross site, which means that the web part can now take the information not just from the website where it is set up but also in other websites. The same it is true for the FAQ Favorites list. This is particularly useful when inside your intranet there are more than one site but you need the FAQ to be referred not just to one site in particular but all of them.
