In this section, you can see the upcoming enhancements of the Microlearning version 1.3

Main Changes

  • When the user completes the course, he or she will receive a PDF certificate of course participation via e-mail with the following information: course title, participant's name and surname and date of course successful conclusion. In this way, the user will have an acknowledgement of participation and acquisition of new skills, and the company will have confirmation of the user's participation.

  • Gamification: each single course will be assigned a score. The amount of points to be assigned for every course is chosen by the course creator. Once successfully completed the course, the user receives the score for that specific course; if the user finishes the course within a specific time range he/she can also get a different score from the one assigned to the course.

Each user gains points depending on these rules:

-The user receives a certain amount of points if he or she finishes a course (based on the points previously chosen in the course configuration).

-The user receives a certain amount of points if he or she passes the final quiz in the first round.

- The user receives a certain amount of points if he or she finishes the course within the days chosen in the course configuration.

Remember that gamification stimulates healthy competitiveness and creates a more fun experience, which motivates employees to complete training modules faster and with greater interest. It also makes the learning process more active and interactive, increasing the likelihood that employees will remember what they have learned, which is one of the main goal of the microlearning tool.

  • Badge: after reaching a certain number of scores, a badge is created for the user with his or her relative photo, first and last name and the total score so far accumulated. The badge is linked to the company intranet, and is visible in the “My profile” web part.

  • Course catalog:a web part is available to see all the courses for the final employee. This make it easier to take part in courses and view the courses the company offers.

  • Audio type of lesson: the audio-only lesson has been added as part of type of lessons. From the moment the course is created, it is possible to have audio-only lessons.

  • A personal area has been added on Sharepoint where the user can see the courses he/she has taken, the total number of training hours taken, the points accumulated, the badges he/she has earned and those he/she can earn, the certificates he/she has received, the ranking of colleagues with the most scores, his/her ranking position, and the link to the catalog of company's courses.

Minor changes

  • In the Microlearning settings it is possible to upload the company Logo to customize the application.

  • The flag "Audio only" in bullet points and text type of lesson has been replaced with the button "Show audio".

  • Push notifications of course assignments and course progress reminders are sent via e-mail and not just through Teams.

  • The label “document language” that has to be filled when creating a course from scratch has been changed to “Default language”.

  • Some mandatory fields related to the specific types of lessons have been made optional:

-In flashcards the item “Explanation” is optional

-In quizzes the item “ Explanation” is optional

-In bullet points the item “Introduction” is optional
