# Delete and recover a course

## Delete a Course

When you first create a course, its status is **Draft**. At this stage, you can either publish it or delete it.

To delete a draft course:

* Open the course.
* Click on **Actions** (top right).
* Select **Delete**.

These steps can be followed to delete published courses as well. Once you click "delete", the course will automatically set as "draft" and moved to the platform recycle bin.

{% hint style="info" %}
Once deleted, the course can be **recovered** from the platform interface. Also, the corresponding SharePoint page will be moved to your SharePoint recycle bin, making it inaccessible to users.
{% endhint %}

## Recover Deleted Courses

If you’ve deleted a course, you can still recover it via the **Recycle bin.**

To recover a course:

1. Go to the gear icon (**Settings**) from the left navigation menu.
2. Select **Recycle bin.**
3. Under **Archived courses**, locate the course.
4. Hover the course title — a **recovery icon** will appear. Click it to restore the course.

Once restored, the course will reappear in your course list under Company Learnings, with its original title and content.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.intranet.ai/micro-learning/features/delete-and-recover-a-course.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
