Enrich lessons with embedded contents

In this section, you will learn more on how to enrich lessons with embedded contents to make your lesson more complete!

Besides photos or videos, you can also add embedded contents. If you want to add one embedded content the process is the same as to add a video or a photo. Embedded content refers to media or interactive elements that are integrated directly within a webpage such as videos, images, social media posts, or maps. The content is displayed directly within the context of the page, often using an "embed code" provided by the original source. This allows users to interact with or view the content without leaving the page they are on.

If you want to read more on how to add videos or photos, click here.

You have to enter the course and then click on the "Edit" button of the individual lesson.

Then you have to click on “Embed a content”.

The following screen will appear, here you have to insert the iFrame or the URL of the photo or video and then click on “Save”.

At the end of this section you can find out more about contents embedded via iFrame or URL.

Once you enter the embedded content, you can always delete it or replace it by clicking on the “x” you find above the photo or video.

Contents embedded via iFrame or URL

An iFrame is an element used to embed an element of another web page. In practice, it allows you to display a specific content (such as a video or a map) on your page, and in this case in our microelarning course.

We suggest you to use the iFrame for:

  • Embedding videos

  • Embedding maps

You can easily find iFrames in channels such as Youtube, Vimeo or Google Maps.

On the other hand, for embedding files such Words or PDFs that are online we suggest you to use an URL. An URL is the unique address that identifies a resource on the Internet. In other words, a URL is the ‘path’ that the browser uses to access a file available on the internet.

Examples of common URLs :

  • PDF document: https://www.example.com/docs/manual.pdf

  • Word document: https://www.example.com/docs/manual.word
