What is In This Page

In This Page is one of the web parts designed by intranet.ai to help companies create a corporate knowledge base in SharePoint Online. Creating a corporate knowledge base provides numerous benefits, such as quick access to information, reduced time waste, standardized information, knowledge retention, and more effective collaboration.

In This Page is a web part designed to create a table of contents, particularly useful for text-heavy pages. This component automatically detects and displays the section headings of the page (Heading 2, Heading 3, and Heading 4). Clicking on any item in the index will take the user directly to the corresponding section. The web part updates automatically whenever changes are made to the page, ensuring the index remains accurate and up to date.

In This Page is essential for creating a well-organized knowledge base on SharePoint Online. For additional tools to enhance your knowledge base, refer to the manuals for , , and .

  • Click on it and, in the web part search box, enter InThisPage to quickly find and select the In This Page web part.

  • Click the Edit properties button on the left of the web part to open the property pane, which consists of two sections: General Settings and View Settings. See below for more information on each of these sections.

Configuration

General Settings

The General Settings are as follows:

Enter the title: you can choose a title for this section. If you leave this field empty, the web part will have no title.

View Settings

The View Settings are as follows:

Do you want to collapse all levels?: if you enable this setting, all levels will be collapsed by default. We suggest leaving them expanded. This way, users can see the page structure and freely interact with it by closing and expanding sections.
