# Intranet branding

## Intranet theme

For your SharePoint intranet, you can choose a primary color and three different secondary colors.\
The primary colors are used for buttons, calls to action, links, news titles, and some other content.\
The secondary colors are used for backgrounds, so it is mostly suggested to choose "white" for one of them, and some light colors for the other two.

### Header colors

The header color can be one of the colors of the theme or you can choose a background image for your SharePoint intranet header (but only if you choose the layout "Extended").\
Please note that if you choose a color different from "white" the navigation menu will have an automatic color created using a darker version of the color you choose for your header, and this darker color cannot be changed.
