Course generation rules

In this section, you will discover the rules of generating a course created from a document

Word document

When you create a course uploading a Word document, there are fixed generation rules based on the total number of lessons. In general, out of the total number of lessons:

• 28% of them will be generated as Text.

• 37% of them will be generated as Bullet points.

• 20% will be generated as Quizzes.

• 15% will be generated as Flash Cards.

Generally, if the chapters of the document are under 75 words (100 tokens), the tool will generate Quiz type lessons.

Please, remember that if you choose "Let AI choose" a lesson is created for each Word chapter. So, if your document contains 30 chapters in total, the tool will generate a course with 30 lessons.

If you choose to have a specific number of lessons the tool will create one or more lessons per chapter. For example, if your document has 5 total chapters and you selected to have 20 total lessons, the tool will create 4 lessons per chapter.

PDF document

For PDF documents, the tool reads the entire page and creates one lesson per page. For example, if you upload a PDF of 20 pages, the tool will create 20 lessons.

If you have document intelligence active, the tool reads the PDF in the same way as a Word and so it will create a lesson per chapter. In summary, if your PDF has 30 chapters , the tool will create 30 lessons.
